A clothing store fitting room is a place where people want to visualize their most idealized selves. Adorned in new outfits, they imagine new possibilities and picture themselves in new settings and situations that are far more interesting, adventurous, and glamorous than the dreary décor and flat lighting of a fitting room.

We have designed a product that will make trying on clothes a more memorable experience, while also provide a visual diary of the outfits that’s worth keeping. Instead of just a reflection of themselves against a plain wall or curtain, Mirage Mirror puts the shopper in the midst of a stunning environment created by one of several participating artists from around the world. He or she can see himself on the peak of a mountain, among the popping flashbulbs on the red carpet, or in a dazzling abstract landscape. The environments allow shoppers to experience clothes in their most aspirational contexts, while also giving a platform to leading artists to create a work that is accessible to mass consumers.

Our method utilizes a 12K curved display behind the shopper’s mirror, accompanied by sounds and light effects to enhance the experience. Consumers can capture these moments and share them with friends or simply create a visual record of their outfit to reference later. The 12K screen is also a blank canvas for a wide range of artists to create original work that can be seen by an audience beyond gallery walls.

We created a portal that enables artists to submit their video backdrops for the opportunity to be licensed and used by leading brands. For our initial launch we will curate 12 leading video artists from around the world.

Keeping track of which outfits worked and which didn’t is simpler and more fun with a visual log of the clothes that were tried that is both quick to access and easy to share.
